Directors

  • Hi everyone! My name is Laura Lim and I’m turning 18 this year. I am humbly grateful to lead this startup youth organisation, Project 1611. I’ve just graduated from Taylor’s International School KL and will be furthering my studies in Concord College, England in August 2018. With this project, I hope that the people of our generation will have a glimpse of the lives of Nepali women and would like to part of this movement, making a drastic difference to their lives.

  • Hello everyone, I am Sandra Leow & am happy to be serving as your executive director for project 1611 this year. I am currently taking a gap year, after graduating from Taylor's International School KL last year. I believe I am a huge advocate for human rights & am spearheading this to stir passion and empathy with other individuals.

Why did we start?

Since the beginning, We've always felt that we leaned more towards being a 'peoples' person and in our hearts found the burning passion to lending a helping hand to those in need and  to those who find themselves in dire consequences. With the desire of providing the best we can offer, we've both largely contributed and organised many community service and charitable projects such as heading a refugee sports day from scratch, volunteering in pet shelters, soup kitchen and the list goes on  in our high school years. And with that in place, we decided to take this opportunity to spearhead a project we hold close to our hearts to help those in dire need, we present to you project 1611.
